About Us

Surrounded by news of devastating wildfires in California, we became aware of their impact on communities and the environment. The L.A. wildfires in particular inspired us to create Hydra, a tool enabling proactive, data-backed decisions for firefighters and forestry officials.

Our team was formed at school, since we share a mutual vision for wildfire prevention with technology. We served complementary roles: Rohan, CTO, developed the algorithm to locate optimal controlled burn sites. Hemansh, CEO, trained the ML model predicting burn intensities, bringing a passion for operational execution. Hemansh’s entrepreneurial drive fueled his commitment to turning technical ideas into actionable solutions. We both bring strong technical depth. Rohan has extensive web development experience and Hemansh specializes in training AI models.
